2 tablespoons whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2  large mixing bowls
  • 1 rubber spatula
  • 1 Baking sheets
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 cookie scoop or tablespoon.
  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 pastry brush or spoon for glazing
  • 1 Wire cooling rack

Method

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Beat butter and sugars on medium-high for 3 minutes until pale and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
Mix in dry ingredients on low until just combined.
Scoop dough onto prepared sheets and bake 11 to 13 minutes.
While cookies bake, melt butter, milk, vanilla, and salt in a saucepan. Whisk in powdered sugar until smooth.
Brush warm glaze over cookies 3 minutes out of the oven. Apply a second coat after 5 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack until glaze sets.
