Copycat Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Recipe

Seared chicken tossed with pasta in a rich garlic parmesan cream sauce, inspired by the beloved wing flavor, ready in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  

12 ounces penne or rigatoni
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan, plus extra for serving
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Reserved pasta water, as needed

Equipment

  • 1 large stainless steel skillet
  • 1 large stockpot, for boiling pasta

Method
 

Boil the pasta and reserve some pasta water.
    Season and sear the chicken until golden, then set aside.
      Sauté the garlic in butter until fragrant.
        Add the cream and scrape up the browned bits.
          Whisk in the parmesan until smooth and thickened.
            Return the chicken to the pan with the seasonings.
              Toss in the pasta, adding pasta water until glossy.
                Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan before serving.
