Golden Garlic Butter Bread

A pull-apart loaf sliced deep, packed with garlic butter, and topped with melted parmesan.

Ingredients
  

1 large Italian loaf, 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened), 6 garlic cloves (minced), 1/3 cup grated parmesan, 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped), 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 small mixing bowl
  • 1 serrated bread knife
  • 1 butter knife or small offset spatula for spreading.

Method
 

Slice the loaf deeply crosswise, stopping just before the bottom crust.
    Mix softened butter, garlic, half the parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper.
      Spread the butter deep between each slice.
        Top with remaining parmesan.
          Wrap in foil and bake at 375°F for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake 5 more minutes.
            Rest 2 minutes, pull apart, and serve warm.
